Screen Shot 2014-04-14 at 5.56.20 PMHere at mindful hub we are all about making mindfulness accessable to busy people.  Every so often we like to highlight an app, a CD or a book that helps with the mindfulness habit.   Calm is a simple but informative app that has a sister website,  Together these products offer short, guided meditations ranging from two minutes to twenty minutes in length.  The website is free and offers a choice of beautiful nature scenes.  The app, which offers a wider variety of guided meditations than the website, sells for $9.99 on Itunes.

If you doubt the effectiveness of very short meditations, try on line.  Choose the 2 minute option, and commit to practicing three times a day for the next week.  If you are focusing on a certain aspect of meditation like inner peace or compassion, the Calm app will help you fine-tune these skills.Screen Shot 2014-04-14 at 5.56.11 PM

  1. Glady says: is one of my favorite sites! I use it all the time, especially at work. It’s nice because when you load up the site it instantly starts up and you feel like dropping everything and taking a breather 😉
