It can be difficult to feel grateful on Monday mornings. But today I choose to notice how wonderful it is that my twelve year-old son will still hug me before he leaves for school in the morning. One of the cornerstones of mindfulness is embracing impermanence. I know that these hugs may become “uncool” any day now, so this Monday morning, I chose to really savor – to embrace the impermanence of the embrace!
