When I met Rick Hanson I could tell he was the real deal – a psychologist and long-time meditator, he not only shares his knowledge about neuroplasticity and mindfulness, he also models, with his warmth and calm demeanor, how mindfulness can bring out the best in us.
I wanted to let you know about a new 8-session teleseminar course being offered by Rick Hanson, PhD, author of Buddha’s Brain and Just One Thing. Rick is a neuropsychologist and expert on self-directed neuroplasticity, and the course is about how to use positive experiences to weave key resources into your brain – and thus your life. It’s called Taking in the Good: Weaving Peace, Happiness, and Love into Your Brain and Yourself, it starts on March 14 and will be presented for the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS).
Each session includes a talk by Rick, Q&A, written materials, and opportunities for bulletin board discussion with other participants; and people can participate live and/or review talks and related resources whenever they like. The course offers CEUs, and it’s also very suitable for educators and the general public.
Rick is an engaging, vibrant and thoughtful teacher and I recommend checking this program out. More information and registration is available at http://www.noetic.org/education/telecourse/taking-good/.
