Pema Chodron is an American Buddhist nun who has published dozens of books and lectures on mindfulness. Her teaching style is down to earth and easily digestible for the average house holder (here we use the term house holder to refer to anyone who does not live in a monastery). She herself was a wife, and is a mother and grandmother. She’s been through some stuff. She gets us.
